About the Author

Kelley Ann Lovelace is the author of Ready, Set, Go Organic. Kelley Ann lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her husband, Brad, and five-year-old daugher, Paige, and family beagle, Annie. The Lovelace family, including Annie, has been illustrated throughout this book.

Ready, Set, Go Organic is Kelley Ann’s first book, and was inspired by her passion for preparing healthy, organic meals for her family. Kelley Ann believes that by using organic ingredients in her cooking, she has a chance to positively impact the health and well-being of those she loves.

Kelley Ann and her husband made the decision to go organic approximately five years ago, and living in rural England during the past three years, made the decision a reality. Now back in the U.S., she is a strong advocate of supporting local producers, and her family often buys directly from farmers in Anne Arundel County Maryland, where she lives.

Since making the switch, Kelley Ann worries less about harmful pesticides, growth hormones and antibiotics invading her pantry, her fridge, and her daughter!

In writing Ready, Set, Go Organic, Kelley Ann’s goal is to get children excited about eating organic food, and to prompt them to ask questions to parents and educators about why organic food is so good for them. Ready, Set, Go Organic is an excellent starting point for getting kids and parents interested in eating organic foods.
